Jacobs: "Not a dream coming true"

Herman Van Holsbeeck gave an explanation on Vercauteren's dismissal: "There are only losers, no winners. But we had to do something. It couldn't go on like this. We think Vercauteren couldn't make things right anymore."

"Though we hope he'll take another job within the club."

Ariel Jacobs has to take over until the end of the season. "This is not a dream coming true", he said. "I have to take the job of someone who knows a lot about football and won two titles in two years. I'm surprised it all went this fast and it won't be easy for me."
