Michel Verschueren (72) announced his departure as manager of Anderlecht.
He'll end his carreer as manager before December 31 of this year. Though he won't be gone for good, because he'll get a place in the Anderlecht board.

His successor will probably be announced within the next 2 months. Verschueren would like teach him the business himself.
Verschueren started his carreer at Anderlecht in 1980. Paul Courant and Alain Courtois were already hired to succeed him, but it failed each time again.
Michel Verschueren: "We have the intention to have a new manager by the end of this year", he said.
"We still have 9 months left to train him in his profession. We can realise a lot in that period. The board will decide over the candidats, not me", he said.
After his carreer as manager, Verschueren might go into politics. It could also be that he'll get a less intense job at Anderlecht.
