Broos scouts Daems in Parma

Broos will travel to Parma on Thursday, where he wants to see Filip Daems (26) of the Turkish team Gençlerbirligi in the first match of the third round of the UEFA-Cup.

Sporting are searching for a left-sided player. Daems caught the interest of the Mauves already a couple of months ago, but then it seemed like they couldn't afford the former left defender of Lierse. Gençlerbirligi now wants to extend his current contract, that ends in 2005, while some other clubs from England and Germany also show interest.
