After the bad game against Lierse, Aimé Anthuenis is obligated to adjust his team drastically. Because of this Baseggio and Stoica will probably be at the kick-off against AS Roma.


"It is possible that Stoica and Baseggio will be at the kick-off. Stoica fit to play. Baseggio trained for a whole week with the group", said the Anderlecht trainer.
Certainly for Baseggio a place in the starting line up is big risk. The midfielder hasn?t played a game since the 25th of July, in the second round for the Champions League. He trained with the group since Thursday after his ankle injury. With Stoica and Baseggio in the team, Anthuenis wants to help his team playing decent football. Also Mornar or De Bilde will play...

The Anderlecht-trainer also has to change his defense. Pirard is out with an injury, and now Crasson-De Boeck-Ilic-Hendrikx seems the only possible combination. Ilic can play again as central defender, but he's sick, which was the reason why he missed his training.

The selection: De Wilde, Crasson, De Boeck, Ilic, Hendrikx, Aruna, Vanderhaeghe, Hasi, Baseggio, Stoica, Mornar; Pavlovic, De Bilde, Said, Seol, Van Hout. The remaining 2 places will be filled in by Thompson (already back from international matches with Nigeria?), Deschacht, Traore or Junior.
AS Roma:
"I am concerned", said the trainer Fabio Capello. "We're doing bad and we're not getting any results. We aren?t aggressive enough in the duels. I am afraid that is the downside of fighting for the title in our domestic league".
