It's not going well with Anderlecht. After 2 draws, the Mauves now lost with 2-0 against SK Lierse. A weak RSCA played uninspired, with a lot of bad passes, so the defeat was logical.

Anderlecht started with the same team as in Moscow last Tuesday. Lierse replaced the injured Axel Smeets by the young Stef Wils.
Lierse was the better team, but the couldn't come further then 2 good chances for Archie Thompson.
Hendrikx and Aruna showed a lot of good will, but they couldn't find a free player to pass to. Mornar was an ace in running offside and De Bilde had a difficult time. That way, the score at half time was still 0-0.

Minutes after the kick off of the second half, Frigaard scored. Sporting couldn't react and Lierse scored again. Afterwards, the home team had no problems to keep the 2-0 lead. Anthuenis replaced Pirard, Ilic and De Bilde for Tarek Said, Van Hout and Stoica, without any result.
Anderlecht tried to put some pressure and to create chances, but the better actions came from Lierse on counter-attack.
That way the score remained 2-0 and the Mauves are left behind with 8 points out of 15. This is of course a heavy psycological blow for the game of Wednesday, against AS Roma.
