Anderlecht don't have a chance to get into the second round of the Champions League any more. Moreover, after this loss the Uefacup is also far away.
Anderlecht pressed the Russians in their own area.

Ilic scored after a good action with a nice one-touch kick.
Lokomotiv couldn't do anything about it, but they equalised with a lucky goal when Izmailovs free kick went straight passed De Wilde. After a header from Aruna against the crossbar, Moscow attacked a second time. Ilic wasn't able to get the ball out of the box and Sjerevsjenko scored the 1-2.
Directly after that, Anderlecht escaped from a third goal. The pressure on the Russian with ball possession was completely gone now. Anderlecht struggled with itself, but still it remained creating chances. The best were for Said (headed over the bar) and Iachtchouk (shot right on Nigmatullin).

With a 1-2 score at half time, RSCA had a difficult job to do. Anthuenis played all or nothing and he put 2 offensive players, De Bilde and Karaca, on the pitch.
After Obiorah first had failed with a nice shot, Pimenov, who slipped through the offside trap, scored. But the real humiliation still had to come, because Buznikin scored another 2 times.
Anderlecht didn't know anymore what to do and bungled. The score remained 1-5 this way...
