After the game against RWDM, coach Anthuenis said the current team is too weak to obtain a new title... Two days afterwards, a new striker might come to the Astridpark.

According to African sources, the Nigerian Femi Opabunmi, the new super talent of the Super Eaglets, will come to Anderlecht soon. Opabunmi was one of the better players of the word cup for the youth in Trinidad & Tobago in january 2001, in which he scored 5 times. As a reward, he was elected for the 'silver shoe' after the French striker Sinama Pongolle and before the Brazilian Caetano. The player also got a reward of Adidas...
Also Southampton, Manchester United and Lyon are interested in the striker, but his manager advises a stay in Anderlecht, because it would be better for his carreer. Anderlecht have a lot of experience with young African players like Stephen Keshi, James Obiorah, Azubuike Oliseh, Charles Musonda, Nii Lamptey and Celestine Babayaro. They all were very successful afterwards. Right now, Lamin Traoré is playing for the Mauves, also a young African player. The 16 year old striker is now playing for 3SC Ibanan and he is very confident about his own future.
