1.7 million extra profit per club?

A restructuration of the league, as the G5 proposed (with 14 clubs), could mean 1.7 million extra profit per club per year. That's half of the budget of a smaller 1st-division-team.

That calculation is of course only valid if the sponsoring and the ticket-sale keep at the same level.
Economical research pointed out that only 14 clubs in Belgium can survive. The G5 is also prepared to enlarge the group to 14.
