Anderlecht remain in 4th place with 24 points, while Standard join Club Bruges, who will play on Sunday, at the top with 30 points. That's the outcome of yesterday's scoreless draw, an anti-climatic result.

New coach Ariel Jacobs introduced some changes, putting right-winger Legear up front, beside Frutos and placing Polak into the right flank.

Egypt captain Hassan started the game for the home side, before being replaced by Turkish forward Serhat Akin seven minutes from time. It wasn't a good game for Hassan, who had difficulties reaching the strikers. Therefore, the Mauves couldn't create many chances. Goor, Hassan and Legear were the most dangerous.

Standard only had one chance with a header early in the game. Though the Rouches couldn't control the game, so they limited themselves to holding the draw, in which they succeeded.
