Thursday Anderlecht hosts Tottenham Hotspur, the first time the two teams face eachother since the 1984 UEFA Cup final. Ariël Jacobs believes Anderlecht need at least a point to guarantee qualification.

"Tottenham is a team that should appeal to Anderlecht," said the Anderlecht coach in Knack magazine. "They play a recognizable 4-4-2, with a lot of offensive qualities. Berbatov, Keane, Malbranque, Lennon: those are all excellent players."

"They have a strong midfield with players like Didier Zokora and Jermaine Jenas. But I find them vulnerable at the back. Both Martin Jol and his replacement Juande Ramos have switched around a lot in the defense. That points to a problem."

If Anderlecht want to extend their European presence, it will need at least a point, preferably more. "Probably yes, but let's not be too negative about our chances. We won at home and grabbed a point away. That's a good point of departure," concluded the Anderlecht coach.
