Degryse: "Anderlecht not a strong collective"

Tonight, Marc Degryse will be present as an analyst during the game between Anderlecht and Tottenham. In Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, Degryse commented on Anderlecht's recent performances.


What does the former Anderlecht and PSV player think of Anderlecht? "Disappointing is the keyword," said Degryse. "Last year Anderlecht was decisive thanks to individual class. Now that those touches of class remain absent you immediately notice the weakness of the collective."

"Anderlecht lacks footballing qualities in the back. An Anderlecht defender needs more qualities than mere defending."

"Club Bruges currently has a better collective, it forms a cohesive whole. That's what Anderlecht is missing," said the former Bruges sporting director.
