Anderlecht couldn't win tonight against Tottenham. The Mauves were the better team, but the game ended on a 1-1 draw. Goor opened the score in the second half, but Berbatov equalised through a penalty immediately after.

The first half started with Tottenham in command, but slowly Anderlecht restored the balance. The first chance for the Mauves came when Frutos scored. The Argentinian chested down a center by Hassan and knocked the ball past Robinson. The referee, however, had seen a foul.

The second half was a lot better. Tottenham started eager and created a few opportunities, but the best chances were for Anderlecht. Mpenza and Frutos should have scored, but their efforts were blocked.

Théréau, who replaced the injured Frutos, brought the ball accross the box halfway in the second half. Bart Goor took the Tottenham by surprised and stabbed the ball past Robinson: 1-0! But merely three minutes later, Berbatov equalised on penalty after a imaginary foul of Van Damme in the box.

Anderlecht then had the best opportunity to claim the victory. A shot by Wasilewski was expected to go wide, but Cyril Théréau could just latch on the ball. His effort was blocked by Robinson.

Because of the defeat of Aalborg, Anderlecht and Getafe both need one point to qualify for the next round.
