The Slavia Prague striker Vlcek is almost assured of going to Brussels, all that is needed is the agreement between the Czech side and Sporting. The 31-year-old will need to boost the depleted Mauves attack.

Vlcek is currently one of the top scorers in the Czech Gambrinus League with 7 goals. Should the deal be finalised, he will be the third Czech player in the Anderlecht line-up, joining goalkeeper Daniël Zitka and midfielder Jan Polak.

The Czech striker had been courted by Russians and Turkish clubs, but he stated that although "I could earn a lot of money in Russia or Turkey, he did not wish to go over there". The prospect of life in the European capital is more lucrative, "Brussels is a pleasing city and in Anderlecht I have two compatriots there.I am 31 years old and I still wish to take up a great challenge"
A fourth Czech player is also in the cards, with the 2006 Zlatý Míè Revelation of the Year Marek Suchy. Like Vlcek, he is also currently playing with Slavia Prague. The young defender, who can also play in the midfield, was part of the U-20 Czech side that finished runners-up in the U-20 World Cup last year.
