Anderlecht managed to qualify for the next group stage of the Uefa Cup, but everyone agreed on the fact that the Mauves made a very poor performance. Anderlecht played a very poor game and the reactions were all negative.

"This was our worst game of the season", Bart Goor admitted. Our passes were bad, we didn't control the game and everything went wrong. We are longing for a break. Once again, we saw that we don't have any real striker. We are physically very well, but in football you need to score. We qualified, but the atmosphere was bad after the game", Goor stated.

Also Olivier Deschacht was disappointed. "Let's forget this game as soon as possible", the defender reacted. Nevertheless, we deserved the qualification. We are better than Tel Aviv and Aalborg", is Deschacht's opinion.

Cyril Théréau missed a tremendous opportunity to score the equalizer in the first half, but he still managed to score in the second half. "I'm glad I scored that goal", the striker reacted. "I really needed a goal to get some confidence. I also want to thank the coach for his trust in me."

"Our fans held our name high", manager Herman Van Holsbeeck stated. "We left a very poor impression on the pitch and we played an aweful game. We simply can't score. The only positive thing about this game is our qualification", Van Holsbeeck said.

Coach Ariël Jacobs was furious after the game. "We failed in every possible way tonight", he reacted. "I asked not to give them any space, and still we did it. I always have to repeat the same things again and again. I've learned a lot for the game against Mons tonight."
