Vlcek needs to reinforce Anderlecht attack

The club have found an agreement with Stanislav Vlcek. The 31-year-old striker arrives from Czech club Slavia Prague. The Czech will join his compatriots Daniël Zitka and Jan Polak at Anderlecht.


The striker will need to compensate the disappointing transfer of Cyril Théréau. Vlcek played practically his whole career in his native country. Only an offer from Dinamo Moskow in 2004 could lure the striker away. The spell in Russia proved unsuccessful, however, and Vlcek soon returned to Prague. He went on board with Slavia Prague where he scored 31 goals in 75 league games.
