Anderlecht is to face its last game of the year against Mons. After the terrible performance against Getafe in the UEFA Cup, the club can only be satisfied with a win. Kick-off tonight at 8pm.
Anderlecht cannot afford to drop points against bottom-ranked Mons. After the defeat against the leaders of Club Bruges last week, the club has dropped down to place 7 in the league, trailing a historical 13 points behind the leader.

Continue reading Anderlecht coach Ariël Jacobs warned for a difficult game against a team that has little to lose. It is to be seen if the Anderlecht players have digested their performance against Getafe.
On top of that, Jacobs is still plagued by a growing injury list. The coach already had to miss Frutos, Pareja, Boussoufa, Serhat and Baseggio, now Jonathan Legear has been added to that list. The winger got injured last Wednesday in Getafe.
There is a small chance, however, that the frosty weather might save Jacobs. Yesterday's game between Club Bruges and Westerlo was cancelled because of an unplayable pitch. It is to be seen whether tonight's games will follow suit.
