Vadis Odjidja Ofoe appeared for the first time in the starting line-up, scoring a mere fifteen minutes into the game. "It's fantastic to score at once," the young midfielder said. "But it wasn't easy playing on a frozen pitch."

"I do think we deserved to win tonight. With each goal Mons scored you could see we got more nervous, but we played it out well. That way we managed to recover from last week," he told Sporza radio.

With the winter break ahead, the Anderlecht players have the time to take some time off. "Everyone in the team needs some rest and then we can start the second half of the season on a clean slate."

The young midfielder has been courted by numerous foreign clubs these last weeks, but his chances of staying at Anderlecht seem to have increased. "I feel well at the club and I think things will work out. I can always go to a foreign club at a later point in my career."
