Anderlecht founding member of ECA

Belgian champions Anderlecht is, along with 15 other clubs, a founding member of the new European Club Association (ECA). The ECA will represent 103 clubs from 53 European countries.


The other founding members are Real Madrid (Spa), Barcelona (Spa), AC Milan (Ita), Juventus Turijn (Ita), Lyon (Fra), Glasgow Rangers (Sco), Manchester United (Eng), Chelsea (Eng), Bayern München (Ger), Ajax (Hol), Porto (Por), Olympiakos (Gre), Birkirkara (Mal), Dinamo Zagreb (Cro) and Kopenhagen (Den).

Chairman will be the German Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (Bayern München). Joan Laporta (Barcelona) is the vice chairman. Umberto Gandini (AC Milan), Peter Kenyon (Chelsea), Maarten Fontein (Ajax) and Jean Michel Aulas (Lyon) are the other members of the direction board.
