Ahmed Hassan and his Egyptian teammates offered a cow last Friday to get some luck during their game in the African Cup of Nations. The animal was slaughtered in a ritual way causing GAIA to react angrily.

GAIA - president Michel Vandenbosch is outraged and has written a letter to Ahmed Hassan and the board of Anderlecht. There he points out to the example Hassan is for children. "Killing an animal because of superstition is unacceptable, and the way they did it is criminal."

Anderlecht says they haven't received any letters yet and only heard about it on Tuesday.
