It seems the Belgian strikers took a day off: merely 8 goals were scored on matchday 23. A disappointing low that set a historic record. Only three matchdays ago, the record was set on 11 goals.

The past matchday three games ended on a scoreless draw, four were won by a 1-0 score and one game ended in a 1-1 draw. Only FC Dender managed to score two goals, but were helped by a Westerlo own-goal. Two missed penalties, including one by Anderlecht's Ahmed Hassan, added to the new record.
