Hamburg's Vincent Kompany drew 1-1 against Bayern Munich yesterday. The ex-Anderlecht player is in an ideal position to judge his former club's chances: "Anderlecht's chances for qualification are slim," said the midfielder.

In the 2003-2004 season, Kompany faced Bayern Munich with Anderlecht. The Mauves played 1-1 at home and were narrowly defeated in Munich. "Bayern is a lot stronger now. They are a top European team at the moment."

"Anderlecht should at least win 1-0 at home, if they are to have a chance. Bayern has a broad squad. You've just been running for 70 minutes and then they bring in Ribéry, that could be deadly for any team."
