Chairman Roger Vanden Stock announced that he has concrete plans to renovate Anderlecht's stadium. The construction works will begin in 2011 and cost around 40 million euro. The club will fund it all.

Eventually, the stadium will have 30.000 seats and generate the double of the profit due to all sorts of modernisations.

"We are appointing an architect right now. We are also waiting on our permit to start the construction. But I don't expect any problems since the municipality of Anderlecht wants to cooperate. The result of all this will be a modern stadium of high quality. A bit like the Emirates Stadium or the Allianz Arena, just smaller. Maybe the state will even help with the funding, but it's not needed. We figured out a financial plan. One remark though: if there will be a new stadium in Brussels, we will still consider moving", Vanden Stock said.
