TRANSFERS Anderlecht will announce their next incoming transfer at 16h30. Stefano Okaka, striker for Sampdoria Genoa, has landed in Belgium and passed medical tests in Anderlecht. A press conference will be given within two hours and a half to present the player.

Okaka was spotted by a journalist in Zaventem airport yesterday. "Hello, pleased to meet you. I am coming to Anderlecht to win prizes", he said. "I don't speak French and just a little English", to end the conversation.

Okaka, almost 26 years old, will sign a four year contract in Anderlecht, that will pay around 3 million for the striker. Okaka is a physically strong player, who has his value in a 4-4-2 formation. He's good in keeping a ball and he allows his team mates to score a lot of goals. His own statistics aren't looking that great. With Anderlecht included, he's down to his 9th club in 9 years. With only 40 goals in 237 games, he's not really a goalgettereither. In Italy he was already named "King of the nightlife". On the bright side: he also was selected for the Italian national team once.

But how did it come to this transfer? Pini Zahavi, the Israeli manager, is involved in this deal. That same manager also arranged Mitrovic' transfer to Newcastle and swore to give Anderlecht an equal replacement. The questions is if we can expect the same of Okaka as of Mitrovic...
