Anderlecht defeated rival Standard with 2-0. The Mauves made the difference in the first five minutes of the second half when Gillet and Legear scored. After those goals, the home side controlled the game until the end.

The Brussels' team was clearly the best yesterday evening. Despite being in command during the whole game, they struggeled to create chances. The first half brought nothing but a few dangerous centers and headers from Anderlecht. Standard kept the space short and tried to counter attack, but the Brussels's defence stood firm.

The second half began spectaculary: Mangala missed his interception in the box and Gillet could score. Two minutes later, Van Damme pulled down that same Gillet in the box: penalty. Van Damme escaped his second yellow and Legear scored from the spot. After that, Wasilewski and Lukaku had some more chances to increase the lead, but they missed. Anderlecht controlled the game until the end and won: 2-0.
