GAMES Anderlecht suffered another heavy defeat. This time, the Mauves lost with 5-2 in Genk. Though Anderlecht were the better team for a large part of the game, despite being down to ten men after an early red card for Okaka.

The game started badly for Anderlecht when Okaka got red after ten minutes when he hit Kabasele. The Mauves remained the best team in the first half though and their dominance was converted into a goal by Djuricic. Just before half time, and out of nowhere, Genk equalised through Bailey.

After the break, Anderlecht continued to create chances. Suarez brought the Brussels' team ahead again: 1-2. But the Mauves failed to score more than once and being down to ten men, the energy seemed to have run out. Genk took control over the match and scored one brilliant goal after another: Buffel equalised, Pozuelo, Ndidi and Karelis did the rest: 5-2; an undeserved defeat for a strong Anderlecht.
