RSCA Futures opened their new campaign with a spectacular draw away at K Lyra-Lierse. In a match designed as an extensive test of the squad, Jelle Coen opted to field a different starting eleven in each half. Anderlecht concluded its final warm-up ahead of Hammarby with a win. It beat Dutch side AZ 1-0, with Sikan scoring the decisive goal from distance in the 73rd minute. Next week, Anderlecht travel to Sweden, where they will immediately face a serious test in the second qualifying round of the Europa League. Hammarby are already deep into the season, while Anderlecht have so far mainly seen players depart and are relying heavily on a number of youngsters, including Onia Seke and Ojea, who took charge of the flanks. Maamar attracts foreign interest

Ali Maamar can count on foreign interest. The 21-year-old Moroccan-Belgian wing-back, who alternated between the bench and the starting line-up last season, is reportedly attracting interest from FC Twente and Olympique Lyon, according to foreign reports. Anderlecht were held to a 0-0 draw this afternoon in a friendly against US Boulogne, a French second-division side. Coach Vitor Bruno started with a 4-4-2, using Danylo Sikan and Mihajlo Cvetkovi? together up front. After the break, he switched to a 4-3-3. Anderlecht have added an extra friendly to their schedule. Beerschot coach Mo Messoudi revealed that his side will take on Anderlecht on Saturday 11 July. Notably, Anderlecht's pre-season calendar already lists a friendly on 11 July, namely against NEC Nijmegen. Beerschot were originally due to play OHL on 11 July, but that match will not take place. Nathan Saliba has once again caught the eye at the World Cup. Although Canada lost 2-1 to Switzerland, Saliba provided the fine assist for the 2-1 goal, scored by Union's Promise David. César Huerta made his first appearance at the World Cup overnight. The Mexican came on after 84 minutes in the win over South Korea. A fitting reward for Huerta, who missed almost the entire season because of a lingering injury. Nathan Saliba helped Canada to a fine 6-0 win over Qatar at the World Cup. The midfielder came on shortly after the break for the seriously injured Koné and scored the fourth goal. Belgium have reached the final of the U17 European Championship. This afternoon in the semi-final they beat France 2-1. Anderlecht players Jayden Onia Seke and Ilyas Benktib scored the Young Red Devils' goals. RSCA Futsal champions again

RSCA Futsal confirmed their domestic dominance, claiming a fourth consecutive title with a 6-2 win over Antwerp in the second leg of the final. After winning the first leg, Anderlecht thus rounded off an almost perfect season with the crown. It took just three minutes for the scoring to open: Edu, fed by Grello, crushed Antwerp's hopes. Before the break Anderlecht pulled further away: Cainan — good for 115 goals in three seasons — even scored from his own half, after which Raul and Grello took the score to 4-0 at the interval. RSCA Women won the Belgian Cup at the expense of Zulte Waregem, beating them 3-0 with two goals from IJzerman. The match was not yet ten minutes old when IJzerman was gifted a goal after Zulte's goalkeeper erred from a corner. That early lead proved ideal, and Vanzeir doubled the score on the half hour. Garcia named as possible head coach

According to some sources, Óscar García is on RSCA's shortlist of potential head coaches. In the past he has coached, among others, OHL, Barcelona U19, Tel Aviv, Brighton, Watford, Red Bull Salzburg, Saint?Étienne, Olympiakos, Celta Vigo, Reims and Chivas; he is currently active at Ajax. The Belgian U17s got off to a fine start at the European Championship in Estonia, beating Croatia 2-0. Three Anderlecht players were in the starting lineup and three more came on as substitutes. Jayden Onia Seke (photo) was involved in both goals, and goalkeeper Mattis Seghers also put in a strong performance. At 15 years and 359 days, Adjani Mujangi Bia became the youngest purple-and-white player to make his first-team debut. He came on Sunday to see out the stoppage time in the match against Union. The Anderlecht players were no more than a collection of spectators, receiving a football lesson in every possible way—especially on a mental level.
