Mbemba (Newcastle) or Boyata (Celtic) to Anderlecht?

TRANSFERS In their search for defensive reinforcements, Anderlecht are targetting two players: Chancel Mbemba (Newcastle) and Dedryck Boyata (Celtic). Mbemba is a former Anderlecht player and Boyata was followed before by the Mauves.

The most concrete option is the return of Mbemba. The defender left Anderlecht for Newcastle United but relegated last season to the second division. Since then, Mbemba has been on the bench. The defender would be willing to return to Anderlecht. The only obstacle is the price that the English club put on his head. The transfer of Mbemba is nonetheless of the highest priority for manager Van Holsbeeck.

Another option is Dedryck Boyata, a 26 year old Belgian defender who has been selected for the national team on two occassions. At young age, he was transfered from FC Brussels to Manchester City. He wasn't really able to find his way into the first team of the English club so he was sold to Celtic. After a good start in Scotland, he ended up on the bench though. Celtic may be interested in selling the player for the correct price.
