Competition with play-offs?

Friday, the KNVB have decided to start playing play-offs in the Dutch competition. There is a chance that this formula will be taken over in the Belgian competition. The Profliga has a plan.


Jean-Marie Philips, chairman of the Profliga, will negotiate with the Dutch originator next week. Afterwards, he will reveal his plans to the teams. Two years ago, they didn't reach an agreement.

The KNVB has already announced the Belgian board that the plans for a competition with Belgian and Dutch teams, the Benecup, have been canceled because of the new formula.
