De Boeck and Kompany judge the young defence

Glen De Boeck is fit again, but he will probably sit on the bench against Inter Milan. "That can only last for 90 minutes, or else my bum will hurt", laughed the central defender.

"It's the coach who will decide, but it's a fact that our young defence easely gives away goals. They have a good relationship off the pitch, but sometimes they don't play together like it's supposed to. They need a leader", he said.
"I'm not afraid of Inter Milan. I have to start from scratch. And if I will restart against Inter or against Cercle Bruges, I don't care."

Against Charleroi, Anderlecht didn't play well, and the young defence got the blame. "I don't feel like I get all the blame, but sometimes they keep searching for mistakes", said Vincent Kompany.
"The criticism sometimes isn't appropriate, but I can live with that. Last year, they accepted everything because of my age. But I don't want to be 'good for my age'. I want to be really good."
Against Inter Milan, the average age is 20 years. "I don't care if De Boeck or Traoré plays next to me. But I don't think it's a good idea to change everything."
