Five-year contract is ready for Sels

TRANSFERS Matz Sels can sign a contract for five years at Anderlecht. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the goalkeeper wants to give up a part of his wage in order to stay. The only problem is the negotiations with Newcastle. The English want at least four million euros and Anderlecht think that is too much.


Newcastle paid 6.6 million euros for Sels two years ago and wants to recover at least four of them. Negotiations between the clubs are therefore difficult at the moment. In England, Sels earns over one million euros a year. He wants to give up a part of that: according to him, salary is not the most important thing in his career at this point.
