TRANSFERS The latest track that Anderlecht follows to strengthen its defense, is Emil Bergström. This is a 25-year-old Swede who has no club after he broke his contract with Rubin Kazan for payment defaults. The past year and a half he played for Grasshopper.

Bergström is a sturdy guy of 1.87 meters tall. In 2011 he debuted for Djurgården in the Swedish first division. In February 2016 Rubin Kazan bought him for 1.1 million euros. In his first half year with Kazan, Bergström was a fixed value, but the following season he ended up on the bench. In the winter of 2017 he went to Switzerland to play for Grasshopper.

At the Swiss club he played 53 league games in one and a half season, in which he did not miss a minute. He scored three times. In 2015 and 2016, Bergström played three friendly games for Sweden.

Basel, Udinese and a German club also show interest in the defender who can be picked up for free.
