INJURIES Anderlecht won 5-2 against KV Ostend yesterday. Ivan Santini scored another hattrick, Landry Dimata took care of the other two goals. Sebastiaan Bornauw was missing due to illness. Dennis Appiah took his place in the back. Hein Vanhaezebrouck held on to the rest of the team that beat Kortrijk last week.
The first half wasn't interesting at all. Anderlecht had the most ball possession, but created too little danger.
The second half was a lot more interesting though. The match had barely restarted when Elias Cobbaut headed a cross by Alexis Saelemaekers in front of the goal. Santini had followed well and opened the score. Five minutes later, Dimata took advantage of a defensive mistake from the visitors: 2-0.
Anderlecht dropped the pace after the two goals and the visitors came back into the game thanks to Guri who made it 2-1 after 60 minutes of play.
In the last ten minutes, more goals followed. Sakala pushed Knowledge Musona in the box: penalty kick for Anderlecht. Dimata and Santini had a game of scissors-rock-paper to decide who could give take it: Santini won and scored the penalty. With a brilliant long distance shot, the Croatian completed his hattrick a few minutes later. Dimata even made it 5-1, though in injury time Milovic put the final score on the score board: 5-2.
Anderlecht scored nine goals in two games, but although it barely gave away chances, it already conceded three goals.
