GAMES Anderlecht did not benefit from the draws of Club Brugge and Racing Genk. On the field of Eupen, Purple-White suffered its third loss of the season. Especially before halftime, Anderlecht played incredibly weak.

Anderlecht could not count on Dimata and Bakkali, the stars of the past week. That was felt, because under the influence of the 37-year-old Spaniard Luis Garcia, Eupen took control of the game from the start. This led to two goals halfway through the first period. Garcia scored from 20 meters after his shot deviated on Bornauw's head. Toyokawa took advantage of the rebound after a shot from that same Garcia.

Hein Vanhaezebrouck reacted at halftime with a double substitution. Bornauw, who played his weakest game for Anderlecht so far, and Trebel stayed inside. Makarenko and Saief were their replacements. Anderlecht were better now and after ten minutes a header from Musona hit the post. Eupen moaned and was fortunate to speak that Najar kicked badly twice. Twelve minutes before time, Santini succeeded in making the connection goal.

The equalizer stayed out and Anderlecht sees Club Brugge and Genk walk further away by one point.
