European season is over after new defeat

GAMES Anderlecht, after the cup, is also eliminated in the Europa League. After a shameful 1 out of 12, it is mathematically disabled. In Fenerbahce, the Purple & White showed too little and two defensive errors finally killed the Brussels team.


The home team started the best with a number of attacks, but Slimani's visor was not sharp. Anderlecht played as we know them this season: with a lot of possession, but without real depth. Real chances were not there for the people of Brussels, besides a free kick from Trebel against the bar. With 0-0 halfway, however, everything was still possible.

Anderlecht had a better period at the beginning of the second half, but again it did not lead to real opportunities. The attacks always stopped in front of the enemy large rectangle. The goal fell as often on the other side: weak defending Sanneh gave Valbuena the chance to score easily. A few minutes later, Vranjes tried to dribble the Frenchman, but that worked out badly: he lost the ball and Frey just had to walk in: 2-0 and that was it. In the final, Bakkali took a second yellow.

However, Anderlecht are already certain of one prize this season: it is the first of all 48 Europa League participants to be eliminated, although that will not please anybody.
