OTHER Last week the news appeared that Michaël Verschueren would become the new sports director of RSC Anderlecht. But he has a completely different view of the future of purple-white. Verschueren wants to attract a big foreign name, perhaps an ex-player, to take on the sports leadership.

Verschueren wants to put together a board of four people: Marc Coucke, Verschueren himself, the head of scouting and a foreign sports director. For the latter person Verschueren has a certain profile in mind, a type Leonardo, the Brazilian who held the position of general manager at PSG a few years ago. Moreover, an outsider would bring fresh ideas, something that is really needed at Anderlecht.

The result of all this is that the responsibilities of Luc Devroe are seriously decreased.
