Anderlecht have added an extra friendly to their schedule. Beerschot coach Mo Messoudi revealed that his side will take on Anderlecht on Saturday 11 July. Notably, Anderlecht's pre-season calendar already lists a friendly on 11 July, namely against NEC Nijmegen. Beerschot were originally due to play OHL on 11 July, but that match will not take place. Bram Geers and Anderlecht have immediately ended their collaboration. The decision was taken after a meeting between Geers and Antoine Sibierski. Geers returned to Anderlecht last year from Bayern Munich, where he had been put in charge of the strategic oversight of the players' physical development and medical support. The Dutchman, however, decided at the last moment not to accept the proposal and preferred to wait for other offers. The French centre-back joins from Olympiakos and has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Lotto Park, with the option of an additional season. The sanction follows numerous incidents that took place after the lost cup final against Union. Anderlecht has also been fined €8,000. Whether talks are actually taking place between Toluca and Anderlecht remains unclear. Rumours of a personal agreement between Toluca and Huerta are also hard to verify, but that hasn't stopped the Mexican media from openly speculating about Huerta's transfer fee. According to Mexican sources and transfer specialist César Luis Merlo, advanced negotiations are indeed underway — yet the transfer fee is a sticking point. Maamar has been named to the World Cup squad as a provisional replacement for Genk's El Ouahdi, who is currently facing visa problems and has so far been unable to travel to the US with the Moroccan team. The football association's disciplinary prosecutor is seeking to ban Hazard for two matches outright, plus an additional one-match suspension on probation.
