OTHER Marc Coucke and Michaël Verschueren want to quickly inject a portion of Anderlecht DNA into the club. That is why they are currently discussing a position with former players Frank Arnesen and Pär Zetterberg. Luc Devroe can also stay on board.

Arnesen played for Anderlecht between 1983 and 1985. After his career, he worked as a manager for PSV (nine years), Tottenham (1 year) and Chelsea (five years). In his PSV-period he discovered players like Ronaldo, Jaap Stam, Ruud van Nistelrooij and Arjen Robben. Arnesen must become the right hand of Verschueren and arrange the transfers.

Zetterberg played football for fifteen years for Anderlecht. Many regarded him as the last Anderlecht player who embodied the corporate identity. He must become a connecting figure between the players group and the technical staff. Pavel Nedved at Juventus and Oliver Bierhoff at the German national team played a similar role in the recent past.

Finally there is Devroe. Coucke and Verschueren would like to keep him on board. Both recognize his qualities. The duo sees a new role for Devroe in the scouting cell. Devroe would not be reluctant to do this.
