GAMES Anderlecht have suffered their second loss in a row. Purple-white went 0-1 down against leader Racing Genk. Alejandro Pozuelo scored the only goal of the match halfway through the second half.

Anderlecht started with good intentions to the game. The home team played well, so Genk didn't come into the game. For example, Saelemaekers kept Trossard firmly out ofthe game. Offensively, Anderlecht did not immediately put all the cards on the table. Many opportunities were not noticed before the break. Only just before half tim there was a real danger for the first time. Santini with an attempt and Vukovic saved with some effort.

After the break, the level did not go up. Genk had the most ball possession, but it didn't do a lot with it. Until minute seventy, when Pozuelo scored 0-1. With the tibia he deviated a cross from Berge past Didillon. Also the substitutes Doku and Verschaeren did not succeed afterwards to change things. Although Verschaeren was close to the equalizer two minutes before time, he did not benefit from Genk's mistakes in the back.

Because of this defeat, Anderlecht sees the Genk go away to eight points.
