"I thought to have a deal with a new coach yesterday"

INTERVIEWS The technical director is known, now we are waiting for the name of the new coach. And that could very happen quickly. "Yesterday I thought we had a deal with someone, but we did not succeed", says manager Michael Verschueren at Sporza.


When the new coach is known? Verschueren does not want to put a deadline on that. "I made the mistake a few weeks ago by saying that by December 15th there would be a technical director and now we are December 20th," says Verschueren. "But we are trying to get a new coach on board quickly."

According to Verschueren, he has received more than eighty applications. "We have reduced that number to a few according to a certain methodology, and we are talking to them now, Frank Arnesen is already aware of this and he supports these pistes and we want to pick out the right person."
