TRANSFERS Anderlech wants to do something on the transfer market in the next ten days, but then it also needs euros. The players in surplus don't get sold, so purple-white is also open for a departure from some basic players. The newest name that pops up is the one of Pieter Gerkens

Both Voetbalkrant and Het Nieuwsblad write that the midfielder can leave Anderlecht in case of a good bid. Gerkens is one of the players who collected most minutes in the last year and a half and regularly scored his goal, but he is not undisputed. 'Not good enough for Anderlecht', many fans judge. 'An example of the downfall of the club that such players have to carry the team.'

Maybe even more than via Gerkens, Michael Verschueren and co hopes to cash with Ivan Santini. Sunday in Ghent it became painfully clear again that the Croatian is not an attack leader for Anderlecht. The Anderlecht-top hopes that the interest from Saudi Arabia will be reflected in a generous bid. Anderlecht paid three million euros for the striker last summer, who already scored eleven times this season.

They too must leave

While Gerkens and Santini are allowed to leave with a good bid, twelve others have to leave. Their names: Dennis Appiah, Emmanuel Adjei Sowah, Abdul Dante, Ognjen Vranjes, Antonio Milic or James Lawrence, Hannes Delcroix, Ryota Morioka, Kenneth Saief, Kristal Abazaj, Luka Adzic and Mohammed Dauda.
