INTERVIEWS In January, the Anderlecht board wanted to sell Ivan Santini to buy a new deep striker. The Croat, however, stayed where he was. "Whether I feel good at Anderlecht right now, yes, this is part of football."

"Sometimes you are the hero and sometimes you fall out of the boat, you have to accept that", it sounds philosophical. "I did not get a proposal from a good European club and I do not like an exotic adventure at all, I did not talk about this with Michael Verschueren, the only thing that matters to me is how the coach thinks about me."

Santini's manager is Dragan Siljanoski. He was also arrested in the affair clean hands. Santini does not think that this is part of Anderlecht's decision to try to sell him. "Siljanoski has been guiding me for years and was always correct with me, and of course it was a shock when he was arrested, but I think he is innocent, and in football there will be dirty tricks, but I do not doubt about him."
