"Give away goals too easily"

INTERVIEWS Pieter Gerkens admits that Genk could easily find the space in the back of him and Peter Zulj. But we can not stand still with the result for a long time. Club Brugge is waiting on Thursday at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.


"The first half was too easy for them to find freedom in our back," Gerkens is honest, "The second half was better, but the 2-0 followed quickly and then you know it is going to be difficult. We knew we would play against a strong Genk and yet we did it wrong, giving away the goals too easily.

"We have to watch it match by match. We must leave this match behind us quickly and focus on the next match. We will continue to play to get European football, so we should not dwell on this result for too long. Bruges awaits on Thursday ", Gerkens looks ahead.
