Verschueren talks to everyone, including fans

OTHER Michael Verschueren had a busy day Monday. He ran from meeting to meeting. He wanted to know everyone's opinion about the current crisis. Coach, players, chairman Marc Coucke, even the fans got their turn.


With coach Fred Rutten, Verschueren asked about his fighting spirit. That is still good, he was told. The Dutchman is still fully committed to it. Even the players are mentally good. Their minds were depressed, well aware of the seriousness of the situation. Verschueren had a personal interview with some players. Striking: the dressing room was also self-critical.

Verschueren was also in contact with chairman Coucke, currently on holiday. He also spoke with members of BCS Anderlecht, the hard core of Purple & White. They received an invitation for an interview.
