GAMES What should have happened several times in recent years happened this Friday: the classic between Standard and Anderlecht had an early end after misconduct in the stands. Only ... this time it wasn't the Standard fans who were causing trouble, but the Anderlecht fans.

After just five minutes, the ball went against the net. Halilovic was, however, a foot offside and the VAR had seen that well. The goal was rightly rejected. But goal or not, the Anderlecht fans couldn't stand it anymore. The first flares and smoke bombs descended on the field.

After a break of a few minutes, the game continued. Around the twentieth minute Kara had to help his goalkeeper on the line. A minute later, Kara knocked Djenepo down on the edge of the sixteen. Yellow for Kara and Marin surprised Didillon with a free kick in the short corner: 1-0. Anderlecht reacted via Bolasie, but he kicked on Ochoa.

Also from the stands there was a reaction to the 1-0 and Lambrechts sent the players to the changing rooms. Ten minutes later the match continued. Djenepo immediately hit Kara. After the intervention of the VAR, referee Lambrechts gave Kara a second yellow card and Standard a penalty kick. Mpoku did not fail: 2-0.

From the Anderlecht section, flares fell again onto the field. The signal for referee Lambrechts to permanently stop the match. A 5-0 loss threatens for Anderlecht.
