Number of stewards increases

Minister De Crem took these measures after the Standard - Anderlecht match had to be stopped by flares and smoke bombs on the field. To prevent the same scenario, De Crem wants to increase the number of stewards. In addition, there will be extra training for the stewards.

"From this year on, they will be trained in" profiling "to discover criminal preparation at an early stage. They also receive additional training in access control, with special attention to detecting "pyrotechnic means" such as fireworks. On 1 June, the football cell is organizing an extra training day with safety officers from competitions 1A and 1B, "said Minister De Crem.
