OTHER Senegalese coach Aliou Cissé has announced a preselection of 25 players for the Africa Cup next summer. Kara Mbodj is not in it. However, a few days ago the defender had indicated that he hoped for a selection.

After the World Cup last summer, Kara no longer played for the national team. His relationship with national coach Cissé is not very good. "I hope I can go to the Africa Cup," the Anderlecht defender said a few days ago in the Senegalese media. "The Senegalese want me to return to the national team. So it is normal for me to think of the Africa Cup. I work with a lot of perseverance and God's support to be there again."

But it didn't help. Kara's name is missing from the list of 25 players that coach Cissé announced today.

The Africa Cup takes place for the first time in the summer. Between June 21 and July 19, 24 countries compete in Egypt for the title of best African football country. Senegal is in the group with Tanzania, Kenya and Algeria.
