TRANSFERS Anderlecht continue to aim high after the arrival of Vincent Kompany. According to Het Nieuwsblad, Purple & White checked with Red Devils Thomas Vermaelen and Nacer Chadli for a transfer. Vermaelen even got an offer to become a player assistant coach.

Vermaelen could sign for three years with Anderlecht and became the right hand of Kompany and Simon Davis. The Antwerp resident, end of contract with Barcelona, however, does not (yet) feel like a return to Belgium.

Chadli is also aiming higher than Anderlecht and the Belgian league.
