TRANSFERS Now that James Lawrence has taken a base position with the Welsh national team, several clubs from across the Channel are showing interest in the defender. The Scottish tradition club Glasgow Rangers and the English second division teams Swansea and Stoke see a potential reinforcement in Lawrence, writes the Daily Record.

The Rangers would want to pay 3 million pounds, that is 3.37 million euros, for Lawrence. A sum that Anderlecht may not turn down. The Purple & White paid less than 500,000 euros last summer for the defender, who was not completely convincing in sports terms.
