Arnesen: "Sandler can also be a defensive midfielder"

INTERVIEWS Only a few details separate Philippe Sandler from Anderlecht. Frank Arnesen, technical director in Het Nieuwsblad, confirms this. "He still has to undergo a medical examination, but that will be fine."



Arnesen says that he has been following Sandler since he was still playing at PEC Zwolle and compares him with the young Vincent Kompany. "Philippe has good feet and can also play as a defensive midfielder. He is allowed make a defensive mistake there. Kompany also switched between defense and midfield until he had enough experience."
