OTHER His name has been linked to Anderlecht for a few transfer periods, but the Vincent Janssen track may be permanently closed. The Dutch striker trades Tottenham Hotspur for the Mexican CF Monterrey.

For many Anderlecht supporters, Vincent Janssen was definitely listed on the wish list as the new number 9. This hope can now definitely be trashed, because the Dutch striker is leaving the European fields for what they are and will try his luck in Mexico, at CF Monterrey.

The career of the 25-year-old Janssen has been death for a while. In the 2016-2017 season, he became top scorer of the Eredivisie, with 27 goals from 34 games. A transfer to Tottenham followed, but partly due to injuries, his career never really got off the ground. A loan to the Turkish Fenerbahçe also brought no relief, as he got no further than 4 goals from 16 matches.
